ABOUT
Born in Bogotá, studied Filmmaking at Escuela Nacional de Cine, where he participated and produced some short films. Agua Mara (2014), his degree thesis, tutored by Oscar Ruiz Navia, obtained a grade with an honorable mention.
He participated in the FLICC Latin American Audiovisual Market in Mexico City with the film script "Quimera". He collaborated as an editing assistant in the movie "EpifanÃa" by director Oscar Ruiz Navia and Anna Eborn
In 2016 Juan Carlos Bautista produced and directed three short films: "Otro retrato" (2016), "La Sangre" (2016) and "Appear" (2017).
in 2020 worked as editing assistant in the Film "Unter uns Frauen" by director Sarah Noa Bozenhardt

Since 2020, reside in Berlin and study Montage at the Filmuniversität Konrad Wolf, where he edited in 2021 the shortfilm "Oh wie frei ist Panama?"
